Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend! We are all doing well and getting settled, finally able to update the blog. Our Little Turkey enjoyed his first holiday with family and friends, and will be a month old this week. He weighed 8lbs 3 oz for his first visit to the pediatrician, and has grown even more since then. We thank everyone for all the well wishes and can't wait for everyone to meet him. Baby Blake is sleeping well at night, the only problem is sometimes Daddy Blake doesn't always "hear him cry" at night, ha! He is starting to stay awake more and more, and loves to take baths at night. He is also starting to smile, especially in the mornings. Here are a few recent pictures of Baby Blake, we promise to update more!

We finally got to head home today. It is so nice to be back in a comfortable bed. Little Blake is enjoying his new home and even got a welcome home kiss on the face from his big sister Cowgirl. We have a follow up X-Ray and checkup tomorrow. He is doing great!

Tuesday afternoon

Blake is finally getting some good ol milk along with his iv. He is doing great. Here are some pictures of the last feeding.

Day 2

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in the blog. Yesterday was a tough day for mom, dad, and baby Blake. There was a lot of crying as we were very concerned. There was a problem with Blake's breathing because he has too much air inside his chest. They have done several xrays and he is progressing on each one.

Today has been a MUCH better day. We got to hold him for the first time about an hour ago, it was awesome! Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. We are very thankful for great family and friends.

interview with the expectant mom...

Baby Blake is on his way!

Jean Anne and Blake checked in to AnMed Sunday afternoon and got set up in her "suite" as the only preggo on the unit. The doctor hooked her up and began the induction around 4am Monday morning. After some pretty painful contractions, Jean Anne gladly received her epidural and is feeling great now. She is now starting the legal process to sue all of the authors of the baby books she read because none of them told her how bad it would hurt. She is now dialated 5 centimeters and having contractions every 2 minutes. We are all waiting for Baby Blake to make his grand entrance which is expected sometime this afternoon. For now, here are a few pictures to keep everyone's anticipation soaring...

Twas the night before her due date...Jean Anne's professional basketball career began Halloween 2009, with her husband serving as Coach

The contraction that started the lawsuit...

We made it through!

More updates to come as soon as Blake is ready to enter our crazy family!
